Karen has used the art work of Jonathan Cummings to create these great animations. Karen has taken alot of time and effort to produce these animations and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
There is a story behind these graphics, a story of hope, encouragement and bravery.
For almost a decade now Karen has been helping people suffering from TBI(Traumatic Brain Injury). Karen is probably the best person to do this as she herself has suffered from TBI.
It all began in 1995 when Karen discovered something was wrong. Karen had extensive brain surgery which took years of slow recovery. She still has a long way to go.
While she will probably never be the person she had been prior to her injury, she says that she is gradually accepting the person she is still in the process of becoming today and understands that her recovery is a process that will go on for the rest of her life.
It affects all body functions that we take for granted, from walking to talking. Since then Karen has worked hard to send a message of encouragement that recovery is possible and not just a dream.
These animations are proof that there is life after TBI.
Karen had no computer skills but decided to learn. It may have been a slow journey but Karen is now producing high standard technical work.
